Celebrating with a New Orleans Style King Cake

This New Orleans style King Cake is made from a cinnamon spiced yeast dough. Rolled out and stuffed with a praline filling, the dough is then shaped into a circular loaf before baking and decorating with vanilla icing and colorful sugar. As this festive cake is shared, each person searches for the “baby” that is hidden inside.
